This special target has a unique history. Several of us here at Salute were privileged to attend the 2002 Master Pistol Course at the Gunsite Academy in Paulden, Arizona. Our diplomas were signed by the legendary Colonel Jeff Cooper, US Marines (Ret), who personally taught the class. During an evening dinner session, he recounted that the most dangerous animal he'd ever hunted (aside from the two-legged kind) was the famous African Cape Buffalo. He related just how vindictive this creature became when wounded and said it was easily the greatest of the big game challenges.
Our first African Cape Buffalo target was given to Jeff Cooper with our thanks for all he has done.
