Watch an example of what we mean by bullet spatter (see video). Our Spring bases are design to capture the majority of the bullet splatter that would otherwise be directed back at the shoot and capture it behind the front plate. Our DOD MIll Spec base holds the target at a 30 degree forward tilt deflecting much of the bullets energy and fragments down into the ground beneath the target. However as all shooters know you should always wear adequate eye and ear protection when shooting.
